The SAF/AQXP Strategic Change Management team has updated the MPM to version 26.01.13. This version of the model includes three new best practices/lessons learned documents and has had several AMIC processes updated to point to their new PowerApp Playbook when referencing various figures. In addition, the MPM has a new version numbering format which will follow a format of YY.MM.DD so users will always know when the last time the model was updated. DAF Modernization Process Model v16.6

The SAF/AQXP SCM Team has updated the Modernization Process Model (MPM) to version 16.6. This up incorporates recent Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of the Air Force (DAF) policy and regulatory changes impacting acquisition and contracting processes. The release integrates DoDM 5010.12, Acquisition and Management of Contractor-Prepared Data (21 November 2025), along with updated DFARS and DAFFARS guidance affecting Commercial Solutions Openings (CSOs), acquisition planning, and congressional notification requirements. This release aligns the model with recent Department of the Air Force (DAF) and Department of Defense (DoD) policies, guidance, and best practices. This update includes the addition of the Cyber Operational Test and Evaluation Guidebook (5 March 2025) and Implementing a Modular Open Systems Approach in DoD Programs (February 2025).
